On Tuesday, the Texas League All-Star game was played at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in front of 10,317 fans and they were treated to an offensive explosion by the South in their 10-3 victory over the North.

The North took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run home run off the bat of Arkansas Travelers Chuck Taylor.

In the bottom of the second, Midland RockHounds B.J. Boyd hit a two run double to tie the game and Frisco RoughRiders Jose Cardona grounded into a double play, but Boyd scored to put the South in the lead 3-2.

In the top of the third, Tulsa Drillers infielder Edwin Rios homered to center field tying the game at 3-3. But the back and forth would end when the South put seven runs on the board in their half of the 4th inning, highlighted by RBI singles from San Antonio Missions Luis Urias and Corpus Christi Hooks J.D. Davis, an RBI Triple from Hooks Garrett Stubbs, then finished off by an RBI single from Boyd.

The South pitching staff shut down the North the rest of the way retiring 17 of the 21 batters they face to secure the lopsided victory.
