TRIPLE A

INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE

For the 2019 season, both the Syracuse Mets and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders finished at 75-65 in the International League North, forcing a one-game tie-breaker on September 3rd, to see who would represent their division in the postseason. Both New York team affiliates would leave it all on the field scoring 27 runs combined, but the Yankees Triple-A team, the RailRaiders, scored eight runs in the bottom of the eighth to come back and stun the Mets affiliate, who had scored six runs in the top of the frame to extend their lead to 13 to 6.

On Wednesday, fresh off their huge victory over the Syracuse Mets, the RailRaiders dropped the first game of their Semi-Final series against the Durham Bulls of the South Division, 9-2.

In the other Semi-Final game, the Columbus Clippers, of the West Division, battled with the Gwinnett Stripers, of the South Division, winning their first game 5-4.

PACIFIC LEAGUE

In the first game of the Semi-Finals series, the Round Rock Express of the American Southern Division, took on the Iowa Cubs of the American North division and defeated them 5-4 in 11 innings.

In the other semi-final game, The Las Vegas Aviators of the Pacific Southern League defeated the Sacramento Rivers Cats, of the Pacific Northern League, 9-3.

EASTERN LEAGUE

In the first game of the Division Eastern Division series, the Trenton Thunder defeated the division leader, the Reading Fighting Phils, 4-3 in the first game of their best of five game series.
